Safari harbored at Hulhumale’ engulfed in flames

Fire is raging through a safari harbored at the Hulhumale’ lagoon.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) says it received report of the fire onboard the safari “Velaa” at approximately 9 am this Tuesday.

The Fire and Rescue Department of the MNDF are currently working on putting out the fire.

MNDF says the fire is ranging through the engine room and the wheelhouse of the safari.

The authority says the fire is now under control, but that it is attending to reports a man is trapped inside.
