One of the two young men injured in the traffic collision which took place in Hulhumale’ last Saturday night, the 25-year-old who suffered critical injuries, is still in intensive care, reports ADK Hospital.
The two young men who suffered injuries where on the motorcycle which collided with the double-deck lorry in the accident. The accident took place at the Hithigas Magu, near MI College.
The young men are siblings.
They were originally treated at Hulhumale’ Hospital, which reported that the older of the two, the 25-year-old wasn’t breathing when he was taken to the hospital.
The 25-year-old was later transported to ADK Hospital in Male’ City due to the severity of his injuries, where he is being treated at the Intensive Care Unit.
Managing Director of ADK Hospital, Ahmed Affaal reported this Sunday that the young man is still in critical condition. He did not disclose details of the extent of his injuries.
The second man is reported to be in stable condition. Hulhumale’ Hospital reported on Saturday night that the man suffered no critical injuries.
The police said the accident was reported to the authority at 8:50 pm. It also said it has not received any information regarding any injuries to the man driving the lorry involved in the accident.
