Immigration: Business, special visa application acceptable only via email

Applications for business and special visa will only be acceptable via email, starting from this Wednesday, says Maldives Immigration.

Immigration issued a statement last Tuesday announcing that documents needed with applications for business or special visa by foreigners needs to be mailed to [email protected] five days before the foreigner is scheduled to arrive in Maldives.

Immigration said a separate email needs to be sent for each visa application.

Approvals for visa applications will also be sent via email.

Originals of the documents for visa application needs to be submitted and the visa fee paid to the Immigration counter at Velana International Airport one hour before the foreigner is scheduled to arrive, instructs Immigration.
