Shifan: No uneasiness or political influence among the ranks

Spokesperson of the Maldives Police Service, Superintendent Ahmed Shifan, has said that there is no uneasiness or political influence among the ranks of the police and the officers are working very independently.

Some media outlets have recently reported that there is an uneasiness among the ranks of the police due to the changes within the institution.

Responding to those reports, Superintendent Shifan said that the police remain united and strong and would not be shaken by what some people say or write.

Shifan said that there are no political influences within the police and are working freely under the Constitution.
