Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has said that 642 aircraft movements were recorded this past Sundat and it is a record figure.
Following the press tour of the airport apron expansion project today, the Associate General Manager of the Corporate Communications at MACL, Hassan Areef, said that 567 aircraft movements were recorded on 2 January 2017.
Compared to the past year, the busiest day at the airport this year saw an increase of 75 aircraft movements.
On 7 January 2018, 108 international aircraft movements were recorded alongside 94 domestic movements and 442 seaplane movements according to the MACL.
