Flood in Gaddhoo causes massive damages

Torrential rain in Gaafu Dhaalu Gaddhoo this evening has caused flood on the muddy part of the island causing water damage at a number of houses.

Member of the Gaddhoo Island Council, Amir Abdulla told Sun Media tonight residents of one house are moved to another since their house flooded beyond the capacity to sleep in.

The Island Council currently using pumps to drain water from the houses. Councilors have been closely monitoring the situations with visits to the affected houses.

Gaddhoo was affected with severe rain about a week ago as well causing damage to the roof of the Gaddhoo Magistrate Court.
