Elderly man becomes victim of hit-and-run in Hulhumale’

An elderly man was injured in a hit-and-run which took place in Nirolhu Magu 15 of Hulhumale’ this Tuesday.

Police media official said the accident was reported to the authority at 6:30 am, and that the victim of the hit-and-run is an 86-year-old man.

Police report they are searching for the man who fled after hitting the elderly man with his motorcycle.

The elderly man was taken to the Hulhumale’ Hospital with the assistance of bystanders.

Media official at Hulhumale’ Hospital, Ashiya Solih says the elderly man suffered extensive injuries to his right leg and eyes, and that he has now been transferred to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Male’ City.
