Missing Nolhivaram woman found alive

The woman reported missing from H. Dh. Nolhivaram last Wednesday has been found alive.

Shaahida Ali, 41, from Manzaruge in H. Dh. Nolhivaram was reported missing to the authorities by her husband at approximately 11 am on Wednesday after she failed to return from swimming in the morning.

Vice President of Nolhivaram Council, Ahmed Rasheed Adam reported to “Sun” that the woman was found alive at 8:30 am this Thursday, and has now been taken to the island’s health center.

“She seems to have suffered a psychotic break. She was found from the forest, hugging a tree. She was found from where she was reported to have gone missing. The area in front of the cemetery,” said Ahmed Rasheed Adam.

He said the local community coordinated search parties to look for the missing woman after she was reported missing.

The Nolhivaram health center refused to make any immediate comment regarding Shaahida’s condition until the doctors have made a thorough assessment.
