Court orders Naushad be reinstated within 45 days

Civil Court has ordered the State to reinstate Sergeant Major Naushad Ali – who was fired from the military - within 45 days.

Civil Court had originally ordered the Ministry of Defense Naushad to his previous post in 2014. But the State had failed to enforce the court order.

The court gave its 45-day ultimatum to the State last Thursday.

The court said that if the State failed to enforce the court order within the 45 days, the court will take initiate and start procedure to enforce the order, barring any legal restriction.

Naushad along with a group of other military officers were fired from the military in November, 2013, for inciting dissent within the military.
