2 arrested for conspiracy to commit gang violence

Two people suspected of conspiracy to commit gang violence have been arrested from Male’ City.

Police report the two people were stopped by patrolling policemen while driving the wrong way on a motorcycle on Gulehnooranmagu at approximately 2:37 am this Tuesday.

The police searched their persons and the motorcycle they were driving and found weapons which can be to carry gang violence under the seat of the motorcycle.

The two suspects are 21 years of age.

They have been remanded to five days in custody by the Criminal Court.
