Atoll Investment ordered to pay MVR 1.5 million as Frequency License Fee

Civil Court has ordered Atoll Investment PLC to pay MVR 1.5 million as Frequency License Fee.

The verdict from the court on 7 December 2017 said that documents submitted show that the company neglected to pay the Frequency License Fee from 2014 to 2016 for terrestrial broadcasting frequency released to the company by the Maldives Broadcasting Commission on 25 May 2008.

As per article ten of the frequency use, the court ordered the company to pay the annual fees for all the years along with the fine.

And so Atoll Investment have been ordered to pay the MVR1.5 million in Frequency License Fee along with the fine to the court to given to the Maldives Broadcasting Commission within three months.
