YouFest at full swing in Hulhumale'

Youth Day convention organized by Housing Development Corporation (HDC), YouFest, has begun in Hulhumale'.

Municipal Assistant Director of HDC, Aminath Zaina told Sun Media today that the convention morning session of the event that began at 5:30 a.m. included the obstacle course and a scavenger hunt.

The afternoon session of the event started at 2 p.m. with water sports and would include a children's evening.

Zaina said that the purpose of the YouFest is to create a fun, joyous atmosphere for the youth and their families and bond through different activities.

Events in YouFest include yoga sessions, futsal tournaments, virtual reality gaming, BBQ and food races.

A special music festival will also be held later tonight which would feature, Shalaby, Meera, Aquatic Vibe and Detune band along with an artist from Philippines.

While the activities of YouFest are underway, organizers of the event Blak Pvt. Ltd. have set up food courts in different areas as well.

YouFest is the largest event of it's kind up to date.

The activities of YouFest will continue along side Dhiraagu Road Race today and end at 12 a.m. tonight. The Bike Maldives: National Bike Championship will also be held today as part of YouFest.
