Malaysian company, Anametrics Holdings has donated solar panels to the Maldives National University (MNU).
Anametrics Holdings is currently in Maldives to assess investment opportunities in the country. In additional to donating solar panels to MNU, the company is holding discussions with MNU’s student union on additional areas for investment.
In an exclusive interview with “Sun”, Executive Director at Anametrics, Dr. Chutamas Vongvorakit said it was the company’s wish to expand e-commerce across Maldives. He said the company wished to launch a sustainable e-commerce business which will benefit Maldivian students.
“We are currently running similar projects in multiple other countries. We don’t focus on areas with the highest return to the company, but to areas with the highest contribution,” said Vongvorakit.
The company provides both financial and technical assistance to startup small and medium enterprises.
Anametrics is a multinational company involved in investment, insurance, renewable energy, structured and trade financing and mining.
