Parked motorcycle torched near Vilimale’ ferry terminal

A motorcycle parked near the Vilimale’ ferry terminal in Male’ City was torched in the early hours of this Thursday.

Media officer at Maldives National Defense Force, Adam Azim reported the fire was reported to the authority at 3:31 am. He said the fire was contained by the time the fire and rescue team reached the site.

The fire had damaged the motorcycle beyond repair by the time the fire was put out.

Meanwhile, a motorcycle was damaged beyond repair in a separate torching incident in A. A. Thoddoo last Wednesday night. And Prosecutor General Aishath Bisham’s car was torched while parked at Janavaree Magu in Male’ City in early October.

Investigation is ongoing into each of the case. The police has not disclosed whether arrests have been made in any of the cases.
