SATA 2017 begins with networking event

South Asian Travel Awards 2017 has begun with the Opportunity and Conversation Networking event at the Equator Village in Addu City, last Friday.

The networking event was attended by regional airlines, hotels, resorts, and other businesses involved in the hospitality industry in the South Asia region.

Speaking during the networking event on Friday, Vice President (India) of SATA, Suraj Khan said event organizers worked on improving SATA each year. He said that five countries from the region were participating in this year’s event, compared to the three countries which participated in SATA 2016.

All partners of SATA 2017 were presented with tokens of appreciation during Friday’s event.

Meanwhile, participants of SATA 2017 are set to enjoy an “Island Festival” initiated and organized by the Women’s Development Committee of Addu City, this Saturday.

Event manager High Rise reports the festival will include display of creativity and craftsmanship of the people of Addu City.
