Contract awarded for MVR 13.4M Customs building in Kulhudhuffushi

SJ Construction Private Limited has been awarded the MVR 13.4 million contract to build Maldives Customs North Region headquarters in H. Dh. Kulhudhuffushi.

The contract between SJ Construction and Maldives Customs was signed in a function held at the Customs building this Wednesday morning by Deputy Commissioner of Customs, Ismail Abdulla and Director of SJ Construction, Shahid Ibrahim.

Speaking during the function, Deputy Commissioner Ismail Abdulla said the purpose of the new headquarters in Kulhudhuffushi was to expand and increase efficiency of Customs services in the north.

The four-story Customs headquarters in Kulhudhuffushi will include an office, accommodation, and a regional enforcement training center, reports Maldives Customs.

SJ Construction has been contracted to complete the project within one year.
