WAMCO: Waste collection bill will be sent via SMS

Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) says bills for its waste collection services in Male’ City will be sent to its customers via a text message.

WAMCO issued a statement last Tuesday in which the corporation said it will be sending two text messages to customers registered for waste collection services by October; the first text message – the bill, and the second text message – instructions on how to submit any possible complaints regarding te bill.

WAMCO said customers will be sent out their bills starting this Wednesday, and that any complaints regarding the bill needs to be made within seven days after receiving the bill. The corporations said complaints will be answered within 14 days.

Customers need to pay the bill to WAMCO’s site at the Industrial Village. It will be open from Sunday to Thursday between 9 am and 3 pm. And between 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays.

WAMCO has set up waste collection services in Male’ City and Hulhumale’. It is scheduled to launch its services in Vilimale’ on November 1.
