Juice product contaminated with Hepatitis A virus found in Maldives

Creative Gourmet brand’s Frozen Mixed Berry juice product – contaminated with the Hepatitis A (HAV) – has been found in the Maldivian market, says Food and Drug Authority (FDA).

FDA announced in a statement it issued this Monday that the authority was working on recalling the product from Maldivian market.

FDA reported that authorities in both Australia and New Zealand had declared the product was possibly contaminated with HAV. It said the product was being recalled from Australian and New Zealand markets.

It said the product was banned in Maldives.

HPA has advised the public to call the authority at 3014361 with any information regarding sale of the product anywhere in the country.
