Fire set to motorcycle of suspended Judge, Ahmed Rasheed

A group of people has set fire to the motorcycle of the Criminal Court Judge, Ahmed Rasheed, currently under suspension.

The fire was set last night while the vehicle was parked on a road in Hulhumalé.

Maldives Police Service said that the arson was reported at 12 a.m. last night and the vehicle was destroyed beyond use in the fire. Police said that no arrests have been made so far in connection to the crime.

Judge Ahmed Rasheed was suspended in relation to an ongoing investigation by the Judicial Service Commission. It is unclear as to which investigation the judge is connected to.
