Man stabbed in Male

A man has been stabbed in Male’ tonight.

Police said that the incident occurred at around 21:15 near the Carnival area, and that the victim is a 19-year-old man.

He is currently undergoing treatment at ADK Hospital.

He was attacked by two men passing by on a motorcycle.

A taxi driver who witnessed the incident said that the man was stabbed in the back, and that after being stabbed, he sat near the motorcycle zone near the Carnival with the knife still in his body.

ADK Hospital said that his condition is not too serious, and that he will be discharged from the hospital soon.

Police are searching for two people in relation to this crime.

A Police officer was stabbed to death in K. Kaashidhoo a few days ago, and there have been several incidents of stabbing so far in Maldives this year.
