And so the first medical transfer was a pregnant woman in treatment at the Dhaalu Atoll Hospital who was advised by doctors for emergency transfer to Malé. She was transfered at 12:30 p.m. The second transfer was a 56-year-old man brought in from Gaafu Dhaalu Faresmaathodaa around 5 p.m. today.

Before, the medical transfers from the atolls by air were being landed at Velana International Airport. The helipad in Malé was made to eliminate the difficulties in the transfer from the airport to the city.
