Premium drinking water by MWSC to hit market early next year

Managing Director of the state water company, MWSC, Ibrahim Fazul has said that their Premium brand of water will be hitting the market early next year.

The company announced their project on a water brand for the resort market in February 2016.

Indicating to their Deep Sea project, to make drinking water from the water taken from a depth of 800-1000 meters under the sea, Fazul has previously said that a feasibility study is being conducted for the project and the target of the project will be different by-products.

Speaking at a function related to the project at Dharubaaruge last night, Fazul said that in an effort to increase productivity of the company, Premium water will be hitting the marked in early 2018.

But no further details were given.

Managing Director Fazul has previously stated that there is opportunity for expansion since the water taken from deep underwater contains natural minerals.

MWSC also said that they are preparing to launch a special brand of kitchen salt made from Premium brand water from the Deep Sea project.
