Maldivian Democratic Party activist Naeema Mohamed (Naeematha) and three others have been arrested from the demonstrations which took place in front of MDP Haruge on Friday night.
The opposition have been holding serial demonstrations making demands from the government, in the streets of Male’ City.
The arrests on Friday night have been confirmed by their legal representative, Nazim Abdul Sattar.
Nazim said the remand hearings for the four arrested will be held this Saturday.
The police media official has not yet confirmed the arrests, and said he was looking into it to see if anyone had been arrested.
Eight people were arrested during the demonstration on Thursday night. They were given conditional release.
