Six arrested in relation to stabbing near Alcyon Bakery

SixMaldives Police Service has arrested six people in relation to the stabbing that took place near the Maafannu Alcyon Bakery on 19 July 2017.

Police said that they arrested Munaz Mohamed (20), Ibrahim Areen Ahmed (20), Sirufaan Ibrahim (20), Abu Bakuru Faairu (20) and Moosa Ibrahim (21) along with a minor of 17 years of age.

They were all arrested with a court order according to the police and the investigation has learned with enough evidence to convict that all six were directly involved in the attack.

The arrests were in relation to a stabbing of an 18-year-old where the victim was stabbed in eight different parts of their body.
