Five arrested in special operation by police late last night

Maldives Police Service has arrested five people in a special operation conducted last night in Malé City.

All five were arrested in Maafannu near Raanbaa Restaurant.

Media official of the police said that the five arrested late last night and the eight arrests earlier in the evening were all part of the same special operation.

The official said that no information can be released at this time as they are ongoing investigations but information will be shared with the media later in the day.

Police arrested eight people yesterday evening in suspicion of conspiracy to gang violence.
