Eight people have been arrested in a special operation by the Maldives Police Service following the gang violence on Tuesday night and last night.
A high ranking officer of police confirmed to Sun Media that eight people have been arrested in the special operation today to stop gang violence.
Two people were injured in two separate knife attacks early last night in Malé City.
Media Official of the Police said that the first attack last night took place around around 8:35 p.m. near the Vilimalé ferry terminal and the second attack took place near Alcyon Bakery.
The police Media Official told Sun Media tonight that the police are investigating the attacks last night and are taking the necessary steps following the violence.
