The MP for Thulusdhoo constituency, Mohamed Waheed Ibrahim (Lawyer Wadde) and the MP for Vilingili constituency, Saud Hussain and the MP for Maduvvari constituency, Mohamed Ameeth has said that PPM has sent their names to the Elections Commission to dismiss them from the party.
Talking to the press after the visit to the Elections Commission, Lawyer Wadde said that PPM has made the request to dismiss them from the party via email and it has been confirmed by the Secretary General of the Elections Commission.
He said that while the Elections Commission have received everything sent by PPM via email, it has also been entered in a book and it was shown to them by an employee at the Commission. The MP for Thulusdhoo constituency said that it was a good thing noticed at the operations of the Elections Commission.

Five days ago, the Supreme Court of the Maldives have passed a ruling stating that MPs who switch their political party will lose their seat at the parliament.
The ruling said that MPs who are dismissed, leave or switch from their political party to another will lose their seat at the parliament. And the departure from the party will be confirmed by the Elections Commission.
But on Sunday night, the Supreme Court passed ruling saying that MPs won't lose their seats in relation to an issue prior to the ruling.
MP Ameeth, who went to the Elections Commission today, said that he has repeatedly sent letters to the Elections Commission before the Supreme Court ruling to no avail.
He said that he had submitted to be released from PPM with his fingerprint and signature as well.
Following the comments from the MPs, Wadde and Ameeth, Sun Media has attempted to contact the Secretary General of PPM, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel for a response but he has not answered his phone.
