FENAKA: Electricity will be restored to Nadelaa and Alifushi within an hour

FENAKA Corporation has said that they will be able to restore electricity to Gaafu Dhaalu atoll Nadelaa and Raa atoll Alifushi which are currently in total darkness.

Managing Director of FENAKA Corp. Ahmed Shareef told Sun Media tonight that the souther regional engineers of FENAKA are working in Nadelaa to resolve the issue with the injector of the generator and it would be completed and power will be restored with an hour or so.

And with the blackout in Alifushi since 6 p.m. today, following a radiator issue with the 400 kW generator, they are working to change the module of the generator to restore power.

Alifushi, which has a population of 2800 people, began experiencing power outage this morning around 10:30 a.m. before completely losing power at later in the day.
