Police collects 319 plastic packets of drugs on Guraidhoo beach

Police have collected 319 plastic packets of drugs washed ashore on the beach of the Kaafu Guraidhoo.

Following a report by an independent citizen this morning, police searched the beach of Guraidhoo around 9:15 a.m. to find a large number of plastic packets believed to contain illegal drugs.

And so 319 packets were collected according to the police.

In another police operation today, a 24-year-old man was arrested in Shaviyani Milandhoo with two plastic packets of drugs.

Maldives Police Service has recently exposed a drug ring in the country and seized 23 kilograms of drugs.
