Accident in Maradhoo-Feydhoo results in fatality

An accident in Maradhoo-Feydhoo, Addu City, last Tuesday night has resulted in a fatality.

The accident involved a 25-year-old man who was driving his motorcycle on the main road near the stadium when he lost control of the vehicle and fell off it.

Police media official reported the accident took place at approximately 1:16 am.

The young man had later died while under treatment at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.

“We have been informed the accident took place at approximately 1:16 am on the main road of Maradhoo-Feydhoo,” said the police media official. “It’s a 25-year-old young man. The accident took place when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into the pavement, skidded on the ground and fell.”

The accident victim has been identified as Moogil Rasheed from Gasruhouse in Hithadhoo, Addu City.

Police report the accident is under further investigation.
