Fire inside MPL port complex yard

A fire incident took place at Maldives Ports Limited port complex yard this Saturday morning.

The fire originated from a black rubber tire inside the yard.

MPL reports the fire spread and caused damage to the walls of a nearby warehouse, but caused no other damage.

The fire incident took place at approximately 11 am, and has now been contained.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) said there have been no reports of any injuries.
