Police: Suspicions are towards murder investigating further

Maldives Police Service has said that the missing expatriate in Laamu Fonadhoo who was found dead, is believed to have been murdered.

Police said that a body was found yesterday around 12:45 p.m. at the Fonadhoo beach and the body has been identified as the Bangladeshi national that went missing from the island two-days ago.

The Police Media official said today the death of the expatriate man found yesterday is not being ruled out to natural causes but is believed to be a homicide.

And due to the suspicions, a team from the Serious and Organized Crime Department have been sent to the island and working with the Fonadhoo Police to investigate further.
