MDP Parliamentary Group issued three-line whip against Maseeh

The Parliamentary Group of MDP has issued a three-line whip against the Speaker of the Parliament, Abdulla Maseeh in the no-confidence vote against him set for tomorrow.

A tweet sent out by the MDP Parliamentary Group member, Abdulla Shaahid, he said that a three-line whip has been issued to attend and vote in favor of the no-confidence motion against the Speaker.

MDP PG has issued a 3 line whip for members to attend & vote in favour of the no confidence motion on Speaker Maseeh. Will vote accordingly!

While MDP has issued a three-line whip, most of the parties in coalition during the Presidential Election has withdrawn their support for the government and have agreed to work together and support in the no-confidence motion against Maseeh.

Parties agreed to work with MDP include Adhaalath Party, Jumhooree Party and the Maumoon faction of PPM.
