Schools to reopen next week

Education Ministry has decided to reopen schools on next week after they have been closed under the advisement from the Health Protection Agency (HPA) due to the H1N1 outbreak.

The Ministry issued a statement today saying that schools would resume classes as usual starting on 26 March 2017, Sunday. The ministry said that the decision was made after looking back at the spread of the disease and the social state in the past ten days.

But the Education Ministry asked parents not to send children to school if there are any symptoms of flu.

Students lost only three days with the schools closing due to the H1N1 influenza as this week is the mid-term holidays.

Education Ministry said that a system is in place to provide the lessons of the missed days of school.
