Woman who smuggled drugs to Kaadehdhoo remanded by 15 days

The woman who was arrested for smuggling drugs to Gaafu Dhaalu atoll Kaadehdhoo on a flight from Velana International Airport has been remanded by 15 days.

Police Media Official told Sun Media that the 27-year-old woman who was arrested in relation to the smuggling was remanded by the Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo Magistrate Court and the investigation is ongoing.

No further information on the case has been released.

A total of 98 suspected packets of drugs were found on the woman who was arrested in the operation ran by the Police Intelligence and the Thinadhoo Police Station.
