Man in serious condition following traffic collision in Addu City

A young man has sustained serious injuries in a traffic collision that took place in Hithadhoo Addu City.

Police Media Official told Sun Media that the collision was reported to the Police around 1:10 p.m. The collision took place when a speeding motorcycle on the Link Road lost control near the Maradhoo Band and hit a pole.

Director of the Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, Shah Saeed said that a 29-year-old man was injured in the collision and sustained serious injuries to his head. No further details on the injuries were given.

Addu Link Road has had a number of traffic collisions over the years, some of them being fatal.
