Maldivian resort, Summer Island has won the annual ITS Red Star Award by ITS – one of the largest German travel groups.
The award was presented to the manager of Summer Island, Mariya Shareef during the ITB Berlin travel trade show which ended last Sunday.
The award means Summer Island has been included in ITS’s list of top 100 hotels and resorts which provide the best service.
The top 100 hotels and resorts are selected annually from the 2,500 tourist businesses in ITS’s portfolio.
The hotels and resorts are judged based on; reviews by guests who stay there, quality of service and customer satisfaction.
Mariya said that Summer Island winning the award was a huge honor for the resort.
“This resort was re-opened two years ago. Our employees focus on providing quality services to our guests and keeping them happy. We receive good reviews on TripAdvisor as well. But winning the Red Star Award proves our guests love the resort. I am proud of the employees of this resort. Winning this award is a huge honor for us,” said Mariya.
The four-star Summer Island was one of the first resorts to open in Maldives.
