Sun Media has confirmed that the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud would be arriving in the Maldives this Saturday as part of his majesty’s visit to five Asian countries.
The strengthening of the bilateral relations between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia is set to be discussed on the Saudi King’s visit along with providing aid to the Maldives.
While the Republic Square is being prepared to welcome the Saudi King, the details of the welcoming festivities for the King is unclear at this time.
And the government is yet to officially announce any details of the visit.
Sources say that King Salman would be making a five-day visit to the Maldives where the King would be spending a short holiday in a Maldivian resort after the day of welcoming on day one.
The first stop on the Saudi King’s visit to Asia was Malaysia. Next was Indonesia. And after a short holiday there, King Salman would be arriving in Japan today.
So far the Saudi King has received a warm welcome at every stop on this visit.
