Saudi naval ship in Maldives close to the King’s visit

A naval ship of the Saudi Arabia has arrived in the Maldives close to the Saudi King’s visit to the Maldives.

The vessel named Boraida 902 belongs to the Saudi Royal Naval Forces (SRNF) and is mostly used in the security of the Royal Family.

Equipped with two helicopters, the vessel arrived in Maldives yesterday.

Officials have not confirmed that the vessel is used in providing security for the Saudi Royal Family. And there has been no official word from MNDF so far.

The Saudi King, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud will be visiting the Maldives in the third week of March as part of an official visit to five Asian countries.
