Kandholhudhoo Ahmed Waheed, who dedicated his life in service to the Maldivian tourism industry has passed away unexpectedly.
“Sun” has been informed he took sick leave from his office for two days complaining of a severe headache before he passed away, unexpectedly, this Wednesday morning.
Waheed was on the Board of Directors of Ifuru Investment which manages the Ifuru Airport in R. Atoll. He also runs a tourist resort in R. Atoll.
Waheed was also a long-time employee of Universal Enterprises, and was working in an advisory position for the company before he passed away.
He is survived by two wives and five children.
Waheed was working on projects in memory of his father in R. Dhuvaafaru; including a swimming track and children’s park when he passed away.
