Stelco issues call for tenders to construct its 14-storey building

State Electric Company (Stelco) has issued an open call for tenders to undertake construction of its 14-storey building.

The opportunity to submit tenders is open to both local and international companies.

Interested parties have been instructed to buy bid documents from Stelco from March 12 to March 22.

The tender announcement published by Stelco this Tuesday lists the price of a bid document as USD 200.

An information session will be held at Stelco headquarters at 10 am on March 23 for parties which purchase the bid documents.

Tenders need to be submitted to Stelco at 10 am, April 3.

The bid security is MVR 300,000, which needs to be submitted with a bank guarantee letter, bank draft, or a bank guarantee cheque.

The 14-storey building will be constructed on the compound the current Stelco headquarters is situated in.

No further details regarding the building has been released to the media.
