Economic Ministry introduces mobile token system

Ministry of Economic Development has introduced a mobile token system for its services through mobile phone application “QueueBee”.

“We have set a system through which token numbers can be taken without coming to the ministry. The waiting list can also be viewed using the system,” said Mariyam Wisam, Registrar of Companies.

Wisam said that customers who wish to register companies will be provided the service within 20 minutes after the request is put through QueueBee along with all required documents.

An exclusive counter has been set up for the purpose.

Wisam said two counters have been set up for private business and company share related services. And that additional counters will be set up to expedite services.

She said that company name approval and reservation services will be made available over the phone over the next three months.

Registration services are already available through the ministry’s business portal.

The ministry serves 250 to 300 people per day.
