Heena retires from media after 17 years of service

Popular television presenter Heena Waleedh has retired from media, handing in her resignation to Public Service Media (PSM) after 17 years of service.

Heena, who had worked as Deputy News Editor for PSM, spoke to “Sun” this Saturday morning and said she handed in her resignation to PSM last week.

Heena said she retired from media for “personal reasons”.

“I did not resign because of any grievance against PSM. There will naturally come changes in life,” she said.

Heena, who has a bachelor’s degree in the media field said she wished to pursue further education, but would be taking a different path than media.

Heena is one of the most experienced and popular presenters working in media in recent history.
