Vice Chancellor of the Maldives National University (MNU), Ali Favaz has said that they are working to establish an online payment option for their students to pay their course fees.
Speaking at the ceremony today to appoint the Managers to the Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo and Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi campus, Favaz said that they are working to introduce the service at the beginning of the next semester.
He said that they are in talks with the Bank of Maldives (BML) to introduce the service.
Currently, MNU students have to pay their course fees in person at the campus they are attending.
At the ceremony today, Favaz said that the university is also working to develop the sporting of the students. And so a request has been made to the government unofficially to build a futsal pitch at the Thinadhoo campus. Favaz said that the project is expected to be green lit soon.
He said that even if the pitch would be built at the campus, it would be open to the community.
