Ooredoo Maldives have launched their 4G+ network nationwide and it’s now available across the country.
At a special ceremony held in commemoration today at Hotel Jen, CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, Vikram Singha said that the 4G+ network was expanded nationwide upon a special request from the Chairman of the telecommunications company.
On his visit to the Maldives to take part in the inauguration of Ooredoo Maldives listing at the Maldivian Stock Exchange, Chairman of Ooredoo last October, Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al-Thani learned that the entire country does not get 4G+ from a young employee of the resort he was staying at according to Vikram Singha.

The CEO of Ooredoo said that the challenges faced by the company with providing nationwide coverage was shared with the Chairman.
He said that the expansion project began from that moment and completing the project in just three months with association of China’s Huawei company is a great success.

Mr. Vikram Singha said that the Ooredoo Maldives team is a special and extraordinarily hardworking team like he hasn’t experienced in the last 15 years. And thanks to their effort, the Ooredoo network in the region is most advanced network in the region.
At the ceremony today, the teams involved in the upgrade were commended.
