Police: Most probable couple died of natural causes

Police reports there were no outward injuries found on the bodies of the married couple found dead in an apartment in M. Light Signal of Male’ City this Saturday, and that it was most likely the couple died of natural causes.

A senior police officer who spoke to police reported that there were no signs of injuries on the bodies of the couple, and no signs of forced entry into their bedroom.

“Investigation so far has found no signs of forced entry into the room,” said the officer.

Police media official reported that the bodies of the couple were being kept in the mortuary, and declined to make any official comment regarding the investigation.

Authorities were alerted to the situation when the couple – 50-year-old Qasim Shahid and

40-year-old Razeena Ibrahim failed to wake up from sleep.

The couple – both originally from Th. Vilufushi are survived by their three children – a girl and two boys.
