Fire at a carpentry in Henveiru

A fire incident has taken place at the DF Carpentry located in an alley on Roashanee Magu in Henveiru.

MNDF Fire and Rescue and Police responded to the incident that ook place around 6:35 p.m. today and controlled the fire quickly.

Sun Media journalists in the area reports that the fire was at the ground floor, the carpentry, of the two story building with the wooden decks and no one was injured in the fire.

Information Officer of the MNDF, Ibrahim Azim told Sun Media that the incident was reported at 6:35 p.m. today.

He said that the fire was at the wood inside the carpentry and the extent of the damages is unclear at this time.

Maldives Police Service has launched an investigation into the incident.
