Maldives chosen Favorite Island Destination of Chinese Families

Maldives has won the Chinese Families Favorite Outbound Travel Choices Awards’ Favorite Island Destination Award.

Chinese Families Favorite Outbound Travel Choices Awards is organized by Global Traveler and Global Times.

The eighth edition of the Chinese Families Favorite Outbound Travel Choices Awards was held at Ritz Carlton Hotel in Beijing, China on December 13, last Tuesday night.

The Favorite Island Destination Award was accepted on behalf of Maldives by a public relations representative by Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), stationed in China.

Global Traveler Magazine is a weekly magazine; one of the top and well renowned platforms for outbound travel in China.

Founded in 2008, it has a weekly circulation of 350,000 copies in Beijing alone.

Global Traveler, together with Global Times covers more than 300 routes on 16 domestic and international airlines with a circulation of 200,000 copies.

Chinese Families Favorite Outbound Travel Choices Awards 2016 announced awards in 10 different categories; including Chinese Families Favorite TO/TA, Outbound Destination, Island Destination, City, Cruise, Hotel, Hotel Chain Brand, Hotel Brand, Chinese airline and Foreign airline.

China is Maldives’ biggest tourist market. Over 200,000 Chinese tourists have visited Maldives from January to October, 2016.
