Allied Insurance has unveiled a special insurance plan for women, “Kamana”.
The special plan was unveiled by Minister of Economic Development, Mohamed Saeed during the function held by Allied Insurance last Sunday night to mark the three-year anniversary of
President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s administration.
Women between ages of 18 years to 48 years are applicable for “Kamana”.
The minimum insurance coverage for the plan is MVR 50,000.
Benefits of the insurance plan:
1. Coverage for treatment of major illnesses and surgeries such as organ transplant.
2. 5 percent of insurance coverage will be transferred to a fund every other year after the first
2 years to cover termination of employment or an emergency situation requiring a no-pay leave
3. 150 percent of insurance coverage will be provided to the next of kin if the insurance plan holder dies, along with bonus amounts and emergency funds.
Allied Insurance also launched its special insurance plan for secondary school students.
Parents can apply their children under the age of 5 years for the insurance plan.
Parents are required to pay the premium until the child reaches 13 years of age. After which Allied Insurance will provide a coverage for education of the child from 13 years of age to 18 years of age.
