Movie star Jacqueline finds Maldivian cuisine spicy but “yummy”

Sri Lankan-born Bollywood actress, Jacqueline Fernandez had an enjoyable holiday in Maldives with her mother – Kim Fernandez; swimming with the sharks, taking boat rides, indulging in luxurious spa treatments, enjoying Maldivian cuisine, and collecting shells from the beach.

Jacqueline stayed at Maldivian resort – One and Only Reethi Rah – with her mother in August, and recounted the trip in an interview with Indian newspaper, Mumbai Mirror.

The popular movie star said the holiday also helped her tick off an item in her bucket list – which was to swim with whale sharks.

She commented that Maldives reminded her of her home country, Sri Lanka, and that she had always thought Sri Lankans had the spiciest cuisine before she tasted Maldivian food.

She said that she enjoyed Maldivian cuisine, and especially the spicy sandwiches served at the resort, which she said she couldn’t stop eating because they were so “yummy”, despite her insides being on fire with each bite.

Jacqueline and her mother also enjoyed luxurious spa treatments, and spent a lazy time collecting shells and charms from the beach.

She said she would definitely return back to Maldives for more soon.
